After the glitz and glamour of the Lancashire Tourism Awards last week – this week there is more excitement as Ridgeway Farm is going to be on the television!

The Farm featured on the Channel 5 TV show 22 Kids and Counting on Wednesday, 16th February.

This is the latest series following the Radford family – parents, Sue and Noel first hit the screens in 2012 on Channel 4 with 15 Kids and Counting and it has gone from there – in addition to their own 22 – they are also grandparents with 7 grandchildren and counting, so the Radford clan is ever expanding!

Most of the family visited Ridgeway Farm in Blackpool last year along with their TV crew and it was great for the animals to have such a lot of hands-on visitors.

The children loved seeing, stroking, and feeding the animals – and Cooper and Diesel the Farm’s greedy goats certainly enjoyed being fed! And Donald, the alpaca, was seen fluttering his gorgeous eye lashes at the Radford children!   Indeed, all the animals were delighted to see such a lot of friendly faces.

Ridgeway Farmer Helen said “We were so happy to welcome the Radford’s to Ridgeway Farm and so glad they had a great day out. The animals loved it too.”

Dad Noel said, “It was one of the best family days out that we have ever had – we will certainly be visiting again.”

As well as regular opening days to visit – Ridgeway Farm also run special events, last week they hosted ‘Big Bird Watch’ in tandem with the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch and upcoming is Pancake Day celebrations – as well as entry to the farm and the chance to see the animals you have the opportunity to make pancakes with fresh ingredients from the farm itself – flour from the crops of wheat, eggs fresh from the hens and milk from the cows.
